A Voice For God
A Heart For People

Adult Ministries

At Trinity, we have Lay Ministries which provide many opportunities for our adults to serve. The smaller groups allow for more personal interaction as well as spiritual and personal growth. Each person is encouraged to find the area where you feel God would have you serve.

Women's Ministry
Ladies that are part of the Women's Ministry are very active and typically meet once a month for a time of fellowship and inspiration. This ministry sponsors the Girls in Action (GAs) missions program and the Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon Offerings. Since 2016, the ministry has held an annual Women's Conference where an average of 85 ladies from our local area come to Trinity for a special day of worship and praise. In addition, a Mother-Daughter Tea is held each year by the Women's Ministry. Women of all ages are welcome to participate in this ministry led by Sandra Stall.

Men's Ministry
Dedicated to the development of Christian values, principles, and attitudes, the Men's Ministry provides an opportunity for men to have fellowship with one another and provide the church and community with services for special needs. Each year the men are in charge of the breakfast following Easter Sunrise service in which they gather very early in the morning to cook. The Men's Ministry sponsors the Royal Ambassadors (RAs) missions program for boys which is held on Wednesday nights. Special events such as the Wild Game Supper and Racer Derby are also sponsored by the Men's Ministry. Men of all ages are encouraged to be part of this ministry which is led by Marty Glisson.

Keenagers (Senior Adults)
Senior adults at Trinity, known as Keenagers, are a very special part of our congregation. The Keenagers typically meet bi-monthly in the Family Life Center for lunch, spiritual enrichment, encouragement, and recognition. During the luncheon, special guests present meaningful information that is meant to make life better and easier for our seniors. Each year, a group of senior adults attend the Glory Conference in Ridgecrest, NC where they enjoy a special time of worship in the mountains. At Trinity, we believe that those who have lived long for the Lord, and have planted many seeds of kindness, honor, and service, deserve much respect and love. Any person over the age of 55 is welcomed to be part of our senior adult ministry led by Lynn Brant.

God's Companions (Widow's Ministry)
Nothing says emptiness like the passing of your life partner. Some who have been married for a few years, others who have been married beyond their golden anniversary, experience a loss that cannot be explained without having been there, yourself. Each month, widows enjoy a time of lunch and fellowship with one another which is typically at a local restaurant. If you are widowed and seek companionship with those who "know how you feel", then we encourage you to become part of this very special ministry. Though they may not know "exactly" how you feel because each of us reacts differently to the same situation, the members of this ministry know in part the sadness, the loneliness, the frustrations, and the helplessness that always accompany the passing of a spouse. When you realize that you are not only companions to our fellow man but truly a Companion of God Himself, you realize that you are never alone. This ministry is led by Martha Lane.

Food Services Ministry
This is a very important area of service at Trinity. Each month we have a time of food and fellowship in conjunction with our Church Conference. The Food Services team organizes the covered dishes, serves, and cleans up following each meal. They also prepare delicious meals during Vacation Bible School and other events throughout the year. We love our times of breaking bread together at Trinity, and the Food Services makes it possible. Patricia Rushing is the departmental director for Food Services.

Visitation Ministry
It is almost impossible for the pastor to visit with each and every sick, hurting, and lonely person. The members of the Visitation Ministry are faithful in visiting local nursing facilities and retirement homes to encourage those who are no longer able to attend regular church services. They also visit in hospitals and hospices. Anyone is welcome to become a part of this ministry. It is led by Grady Aycock.
